A classic wedding day for a classic bride and groom- Megan knew exactly what she wanted from the very beginning for her elegant Dunwoody country club wedding day! From her rhinestone statement heels, to their custom monogram wedding crest, to their five tier wedding cake with cascading pink roses, every detail was meant to exude a certain “wow” factor while still maintaining the ultimate classic wedding elegance.
Clearly loved by so many, Megan & Matt had quite the crew of bridesmaids and groomsmen to surround them on wedding day! The men in black tuxes and the ladies in long blush pink gowns, every one of them was always smiling ear-to-ear whether they were piling into the wedding trolley together or breaking it down on the dance floor. It was a day full of fun from beginning to end and one I know these two will always remember with the biggest smiles!
I had to hold back tears when Megan told me the story of her something borrowed and something blue for her wedding day. Her necklace was a gift to her from her grandfather’s grandmother! When she passed away, she willed a tri-stone diamond ring to her future great-grandaughters- one diamond to Megan’s mom, one to Megan’s older sister, and one to her. She made the heirloom diamond into a pendant and it’s been a valued treasure ever since.
Likewise, the blue bracelet she wore was a piece belonging to her mom. Megan clearly remembers being a little girl and going with her dad to a jewelry store to help him pick out a birthday present for her mom. Together they selected this beautiful blue bracelet and it’s been a well-loved piece that her mom wore on special occasions ever since. There were certainly a few happy tears glimmering as she placed the bracelet on her daughter’s wrist to wear on such a big day!
